[A]ccording to a handful of quarterback tutors, including Trent Dilfer and Chris Weinke, among others who have recently praised Tebow’s changed throwing motion, he won’t be throwing his signature lame-duck passes for much longer, either.
“Like I told Tim when I found out (Monday) that he signed, ‘You’re locked and loaded, ready to go,’” Weinke told USA Today on Tuesday.
The most recent praise came from former IFL (Intense Football League) All-Star Dennis Gile, who worked extensively with Tebow on his throwing mechanics for more than three months in Scottsdale, Ariz., after last season. Gile, who was himself once signed by the Patriots as a undrafted free agent in 2003 but was subsequently released during training camp, told the Los Angeles Times on Tuesday that Tebow’s throwing motion has become “100 times better.”

PBS: Not Even a Pretense of Being Objective in their GOP Convention Coverage
If the cabal of Woodruff, Eiffil, Shields, and, yes, the "conservative" Brooks would please shut up and get out of the way, I would like to hear the speeches.
Fortunately, we have a Fox radio station in Miami, WIOD, and it is broadcasting the speeches unimpaired. Right now Nikki Haley is giving a terrific speech, and not a word of it is on PBS. All of it on the Fox radio station.
(Glenn Reynolds reports that MSNBC "abandons GOP convention during every speech by a minority." What a shame that their viewers missed Artur Davis. So glad we don't have cable, so that not a cent of ours finds its way to that network.)
On the other hand, even Woodruff and Shields are finally impressed by the speeches of Mrs. Romney and Governor Christie (which were outstanding). Eiffil is unimpressed and unrepentant. Brooks seems gray and almost background for the other three. (Look at Jennifer Rubin's column in the Washington Post, especially concerning Mrs. Romney's speech [thanks, Glenn].)
The PBS conspirators have some Republicans in their booth at times. (I suppose this was their idea of being fair and balanced.) The Senator from Wyoming, Mike Enzi, more than holds his own. Newt Gingrich is there and singularly unimpressive in all his talkieness. He is really yesterday in the context of the young, fresh faces on the podium.
On the substance side, I am impressed by the way Christie relates his success in NJ to bi-partisan efforts, his warning that the American people will have to sacrifice to get the country back on track, and his expressions of faith in those people that they will respond to the challenge. I pray he is right.
I can't help but say, however, that Christie's size is disturbing. The man needs to meet Dr. McDougall. It would be terrible for the GOP to lose the governor to a heart attack.
All in all, it is a very encouraging night for the Republicans.
Who will be the mystery speaker? Tebow. That will be electrifying. Sorry, Sarah, you are a little yesterday too. [UPDATE: So wrong on this one! I think Clint's speech was really odd, really fun, and shows some fresh and creative thinking on the side of the convention planners to give him that time.]
(By the way, reports are that Hillary won't be coming to the Democratic Convention. It is a very bad sign for that gathering, already being deserted by lesser lights in the Party. Oh, well, the Vice-President will be there. That certainly must be a relief to the convention planners.)

"You find yourself wishing he would play any position other than quarteback."
We'll see, NY.
Can't wait. Can't wait for Tebow, can't wait for Football Season!
Can't believe how long the basketball season went. Baseball is not only long, it is boring. The Olympics? Sorry.
Let's move on, people. Football.

Tebow to the Jets!
What was I thinking? Of course Tebow would choose the Big Apple! Not for the money, but for the stage. Is it over the top to say, "Jesus to Jerusalem, Paul to Rome and Tebow to NY?" Probably. But good on you, Tim.
"I can't imagine a more unlikely fit for Tim Tebow than the New York Jets, just given what we know about the culture of that team. It seems to me, and a lot of outside observers, a team that has a pretty broken culture - at least a messy culture," said Patton Dodd, the executive editor of Patheos.com, a website designed for dialogue on religion and spirituality, and author of the ebook, "The Tebow Mystique."
"(But) in some ways, it's sort of ideal for him," Dodd added. "Even though it doesn't seem like a likely fit, if he's serious about what he believes, this is the kind of place that he ought to, to use Christian language, feel called to."
-from "New York Sure to Test Tebow, On and Off the Field," by Nancy Armour, AP National Writer.

A Thoughtful Article on Tebow in the WSJ

It's here, but you probably need a subscription to view it on the WSJ's online service. (Sometimes I can find full copies of WSJ articles at other websites, if I google it. I'm not sure why.)
An interesting quote from that article I can reproduce:
At the national level, however, big-time sports is big business, with billions of dollars at stake, and Americans tend to be cynical about the whole show. In this world, Mr. Tebow's frequent professions of faith can come across as a discordant note, equal parts over-earnestness and naïveté. It's hard to resist the thought that, eventually, a darker reality will show through.
Mr. Tebow may indeed turn out to be a hypocrite, like other high-profile Christians in recent memory. Some of us might even want that to happen, because moral failure is something we understand. We know how to deal with disappointed expectations, to turn our songs of praise into condemnation.
What we are far less sure how to do is to take seriously a public figure's seemingly admirable character and professions of higher purpose. We don't know how to trust goodness.
And who can blame us? We don't want to be fooled again.
Patton Dodd wrote the article. The WSJ editors describe him as follows: "Mr. Dodd is the managing editor of the website Patheos [worth looking at] and a former senior editor at Beliefnet. This article is adapted from his e-book, "The Tebow Mystique: The Faith and Fans of Football's Most Polarizing Player."
The article refers to a link called Tebowing.com, which is sympathetic to Tembow. (Somebody might buy me a T-shirt from that site for Christmas. I'm buying Sam one.)
