NPR "reports" on Kenya

And it's not good. Note how several paragraphs into the article, the writer takes a left-turn into a radically anti-evangelical position. Are we surprised?

No, we are not.

I listen to NPR news with a very large grain of salt.

Good idea. Mary has told us about that gang, which the article is supposedly about.

i really like the atticus finch avatar--can't remember if i mentioned it before.

my husband likes the name "harper" for our little ethiopian daughter-to-be...

Atticus is a hero to most lawyers now of middle age. We all read the book in high school. That was back during the 60s, in the midst of the Civil Rights movement. I think Harper is a neat name, too. Also, there's Scout for the next daughter after Harper. :)

I would like to know why they used that name.

Atticus is great.

interesting to me: he's no perfect hero. he does some good fathering, but also what i would call some negligent fathering, just for starters...
