The Private Sector Markets to the Pharmacy Needs of Customers: Everybody Wins

A 14 day supply of these antibiotics is available without charge at the Publix grocery store pharmacies:

•Amoxicillin
•Ampicillin
•Cephalexin (capsules and suspension only)
•Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim (SMZ-TMP)
•Ciprofloxacin (excluding Ciprofloxacin XR)
•Penicillin VK
•Doxycycline Hyclate (capsules only)

Wegman's grocery stores have pharmacies with an even wider range of free antibiotics. (Here's Wegman's press release on its program.)

Walmart has a $4 prescription program.

I use ampicillin in lab (it selects for the bacteria I want), and that amount costs us $40! Don't worry, though. The bacteria are still susceptible to other antibiotics in case they escape.
