Amen! Agree 100%. I refuse to buy a Government Motors car.

I was doing it before it was cool.

Capitalism only works if you reward the most capable producers of the best product with your money.

If you "Buy American" to prop up the UAW you're only delaying the inevitable reckoning.

It's sad. I would like a nice new Corvette. I like the looks of some of the new Caddy's. And yet, they are now and forever off the menu.
I will not deal with fascist / crony capitalists.
GM.
Not American now.
No Government Motors cars, ever.

I have a 2001 Yukon XL and my wife has a 2007 Yukon. I'd like to trade for a newer model and possibly by a GM product for my 17 year old son and my upcoming 14 year old. Not going to happen in this lifetime though as I will not provide support to the UAW nor will I provide more support than forced to by law to the Federal Government or this "president".

I made a strict policy of not buying ANY union made products years ago (clothing, vehicles, tools, etc) if at all possible, just out of principle. If good companies suffer because they are forced to have union employees, so be it-- it's time to starve the beast. The union workers take my money, shovel it into the coffers of socialist politicians, who then take more of my money. No more.

I will never buy a GM or Chrysler car in my entire life.

Why would anyone who leans Republican,Independent or Tea Party buy a car made by Union people after the comments made by UAW leader Jimmy Hoffa? Isn't that aiding someone who claims you are the "enemy"

I'm another person who feels the same way. My last three cars were GM (Enclave, Rendezvous, Saturn), but no more GM or Chrysler cars for me.

Ford's trucks are really quite good, too.

There's a reason Ford didn't need a bailout. They got their act together long ago. They make good stuff.

I recall recently GM said they refuse to repair 2008 cars, even though the warranty hasn't elapsed, because that's 'old gm' and they are 'new gm' after the bailout.

I can't even trust the warranty from those guys, and with GM, you probably need that damn warranty.

Anyway, Honda's a great company too. They make a lot of cars in Ohio (many designed in America with american execs running the operation), and they are excellent, and pay their workers a very good wage.

I like Fords better, but there are many good choices if you want to support American workers, but also want a great car. Americans make the best stuff in the world, but sometimes union bosses play games and over time get in the way, which can be shameful when it gets bad enough (Lordstown plant, or the recent violence from unions in Longview, WA).

We're better than that.

I kinda wish they would just do away with unions altogether. We don't have sweatshops anymore. As long as the workers get a decent wage and have a safe place to work, the union is just about power itself. I think it actually makes things worse for most workers (since their jobs are exported while the union bosses take a raise).

I'm planning to buy a 2012 Jeep Wrangler. Already have a 2008 Wrangler for myself, but the wife wants her own.
It's too bad that Chrysler took the bailout, but I've looked at the alternatives, and there is nothing better than the Wrangler.
If GM, Ford, and all other American companies would start making products that as good as a Wrangler, the American manufacturing sector and the economy in general would be doing just fine.

WV: whora- what GM has become

If only Ford would have made an 8 passenger that wasn't and ugly box.

And I'm not going to buy a car made in India either.

Find a used one made before the bailout.

I won't ever pay a cent for anything that was touched by the slimy, socialist fingers of a union member. I just bought a very nice 2011 Toyota Tundra 4x4. Made in Texas, by real Americans.

I was all set to buy a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. The day I was going to the dealer, the news showed all those Jeep workers drinking and getting high in the union parking lot. As much as I don't want to buy a car that was bailed out by the government, I sure don't want to buy one made by stoners and drunks.

Without reading all of the comments I don't know but I'll bet I'm not the only one who will NEVER buy another car made by union workers either.

To all those regretting that they'll never be able to buy a GM product: Don't worry, after the next bankruptcy, assuming it takes place under bankruptcy laws, they'll cease being stolen goods.

Should be fairly soon by my reckoning...

I'm literally a DODGE, and I wouldn't buy one. But this ad would get me into a Ford dealership if we were in the market for a new car.

Fantastic ad! I will not zap through that one.

It's about time someone says what everyone is actually thinking. No Government Motors!
