Paul, thanks for the link.

I am curious to know your thoughts on the global warming issue.

I am puzzled by the whole thing. It has been so politicized, it's hard to get at the truth. In an op-ed piece in the WSJ today, global warming is mentioned as if it were not a fact in controversy. The article is about coal. "Coal combustian contributes about 40% of the global emissions of carbon dioxide, the major greenhouse gas; and most qualified scientists believe human-generated greenhouse gas emissions are clausing global warming."

I feel exactly the same way, though I suspect you are better-informed than I am. It does seem to be extremely politicized.

And I am certainly not "anti-environmentalist;" I think we've done lots of nasty things to the planet and it disturbs me. I'm just not yet convinced that global warming is one of those things. It seems too complex an issue to be spoken of with such certainty.

thanks for your thoughts. :)
